The following is a Christian Work Project sponsored in part by a grant from the Boston Baptist Social Union.
This new program will consist of a one week training conference for adult leaders of church youth. Fifteen hours of instruction plus worship, fellowship and observation of youth ministry in action will be offered. The American Baptist Churches, USA, will provide 1.5 CEU's to those who complete the course.
Five speakers have been recruited to speak on the topics:
We are requesting [grant] in order to provide full residential scholarships to four Boston - based adult youth leaders. If four youth leaders from Boston do not register, we would like to use the grant funds to provide scholarships to youth leaders in other urban centers in Massachusetts including Worcester, Springfield, New Bedford, Fall River, Lawrence and Lowell.
