The following is a Christian Work Project sponsored in part by a grant from the Boston Baptist Social Union.
The Boston Missionary Baptist Community Center is based at the Boston Missionary Baptist Church in Roxbury. Due to its size, its congregation, its location, its many partners, and its welcoming attitude, the Church has been a magnet for newcomers. People often come to it directly upon arrival in Boston, based on a referral of a friend or a relative.
Its mission is to assist low-income, underserved adults and children in Boston's Haitian community to help themselves in education and economic self-sufficiency. We do this by offering diverse educational programs and access to affordable housing, child and youth program, the New Generation Youth Program. Another program is our English for Speakers of Other Languages.
