The following is a Christian Work Project sponsored in part by a grant from the Boston Baptist Social Union.

Casa Nueva Vida

Casa Nueva Vida, Inc. (House of New Life) is a nonprofit, transitional shelter for homeless families. founde in 1987 in response to the special needs of the increasing numbers of Latino homeless families in the Greater Boston area. We now server a diverse population, but our bilingual expertise allows us to provide a specialized package of services and programs to homeless Latino families - some of the most vulnerable members of society.

Our mission statement is "to provide safe, permanent and affordable housing for homeless at-risk families by providing basic needs (food, shelter, and clothing) and educational opportunities to develop the skills needed to permanently pull themselves out of poverty. We strive to empower our families to become self-sufficient and independent of public assistance."

We are requesting a grant to help support our After-School Children/Teen Education Program.
