LaVida Compass

Compass empowers and equips students for their role in God's story. through experiential community, redemptive theology and justice-oriented service. "Where is the next generation of Christian leaders?" This question sparked the concept of Compass over twenty years ago. In 2001, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary receive a grant to launch a summer program called Compass which ran its first cohort in 2002. Compass was one of a hundred programs begun at the the time. Yet, it was the only one that featured a three-tiered combination of wilderness, theology, and practical ministry experiences - the combination of these elements with a focused mentorship program brought about unprecedented success hosting hundreds of students from all corners of the globe.
