About the Program
The Blue Moon Dance Orchestra is a group that remembers the time, not all that long ago, when live music ruled the social scene. Towns across America had local dance bands with a large collection of published arrangements that could keep the crowd dancing for hours. The Blue Moon Dance Orchestra, a group of ten seasoned musicians and music educators from the Boston area, still has the collection of music and we've brought it out of the attic to bring you fond memories and perhaps new insights into the music America danced to.
