Norman Rockland was the premier illustrator for Boy's Life magazine, the Boy Scouts of America's major publication. His Four Freedoms posters are still selling briskly today.
Leaving the Post after four decades in 1963, Rockwell went to work for Look Magazine. He then started to paint more contemporary and controversial scenes, many to do with the then burgeoning Civil Rights Movement. He was a highly sought after portraitist.
