What the World Needs Now - Interfaith Coalition Singers is based in the Greater Boston area. Through music they want to spread Love, Hope, Togetherness and inspire action.
The Cooper brothers, Walter and Stephen, have been singing together for the past six decades. They started their professional careers in 1962 as the The Montclairs singing Do-Wop, R&B, Soul and Motown. In 1988 they changed their focus to Gospel and became the The Gospel Love Tones a lay ministry of Hope and Comfort.
Belle Linda Halpern is a lay leader at Congregation Beth El in Sudbury and was influenced as a song leader by Martha Schlamme, Cantor Lorel Zar-Kessler and Shlomo Carlebach. She has sung in New York, Boston, San Francisco, Paris, Munich, Jerusalem, and Mumbai.
Jenny Bonham-Carter moved to the US from Sweden in 2016. Classically trained as a child, she has for the past 30 years mainly singing gospel, blues, and soul while enjoying many other styles as well. She sings weekly at the Somerville Community Baptist Church where she is a member.
