Our Program

Mark Goldschmidt taught English for 12 years at Marlborough High School and for three years in his hometown of Framingham. In 2007 he landed his dream job working as a teacher in the Resiliency for Life Program at Framingham High School. The program supports about fifty students who are struggling academically because they are struggling emotionally. Mark manages the academic side of the program and works side by side with a social worker and a trilingual (English, Spanish, and Portuguese) academic aide.

He has been studying the science of happiness since about 2018 and has been presenting workshops about it to school employees, business people, first responders and people in the community at large since 2019. Mark enjoys sharing the why (physical, emotional, relationship and career benefits) and how simple and free habits that can be practiced to increase happiness and healthy outcomes.

Mark also enjoys spending time in New Hampshire with his wife and two teenage daughters and is active in his running club.

In March of 2025 Mark joined the board of directors for South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC) after volunteering to help promote an anti domestic violence 5K and doing a two-part happiness presentation for their staff. He looks forward to doing more public speaking and volunteering when he “graduates” with the class of 2026 after 34 years of teaching.
