Messiah Baptist Church
Messiah Baptist Church continues to be a servant leader in the city of Brockton providing:
a safe, loving, open environment for children, immigrants, seniors, those without homes, those without sufficient nutrition, the grief stricken, domestic violence survivors, and a safe haven for youth and young adults seeking positive lifestyles and opportunities.
Messiah Baptist Church is centrally located in the downtown district of Brockton, Massachusetts. We celebrated our 126th anniversary in the city of Brockton - a city with vastly changing demographics and industry revitalization. The church and its congregation have always been an integral and vital part of the Brockton community functioning in a unique and relevant way.
Messiah is committed to continuing our food ministry efforts by increasing the number of food preparation events and relocating the distribution of these meals from our location. The distributions will be centralized at Messiah as a take-out system rather than a sit-in offering due to continuing public safety concerns throughout the city and the Commonwealth.
The grant requested will support vital ministries with focus on community outreach, advocacy, literacy, fellowship, youth and adolescent support, Senior enrichment, benevolence, social and emotional reconnection, and education/training. These ministries strive to engage community and congregants on issues vital to the survival and stamina of our citizens, to remember those who have been dismembered or overlooked, and to offer lifestyle choices and hope to improve the quality of life in our community.
