Christian Work Update

Pastor Showalter shared with us about the minstry at Ruggles Baptist Church. The church and the Boston Baptist Social Union have a long history of working together that goes back to 1864 with publisher, and founder of the Boston Baptist Social Union, Daniel Sharp Ford. Today Ruggles continues to be a leader among the Boston churches. Grants from the Committee on Christian Work have helped fund ministry to youth, men, and young adults.

Ken Fernald has traveled in a music ministry for over 20 years, sharing the Gospel message, through thesongs he sings. People are encouraged in their daily walk with the Lord. Ken will share his personal testimony, hymns of faith, and some newer gospel favorites. Ken has hosted both radio and television programs, and is now in a full-time concert ministry. Ken makes his home in Portsmouth, NH.

Ken's relaxing voice and manner, along with powerful lyrics will make this an unforgettable experience. We are sure to be refreshed and inspired!

Ken has released 15 gospel music cassettes and CD's including his latest “How About Your Heart?”.

Ken hosted a radio program, “The Lord Is On Your Side”, in Portsmouth for 5 years; and is the former host of a weekly talk/variety Christian television program, “Born Again New England”. Ken has been given the title of “The Burl Ives of Gospel Music” by many who have heard him. He is an ambassador of hope and encouragement to the family of God.
