Annual Meeting

Special Guest: Rev. William J. Fleming

Rev. William J. Fleming, Director of the Seafarer's
Friend, a 180-year-old mission that serves crews from tankers and other ships that come into port around Boston will be the speaker.

Our meeting was led by Mr. Horace Works, Vice President of the Boston Baptist Social Union. The meeting featured the music of Geoffrey Dana Hicks, our special guests Rev. Carpenter and Rev. Fleming from Seafarer’s Friend, annual reports and election of officers to the Social Union.

Rev. Fleming gave us a glimpse into the important mission work of the Seafarer’s Friend. He shared a number of vignettes of how he and his team were able to minister to the crews of ships that come into Boston harbor, as well as many of those who work the docks, and port authority.
